Red Hat Mommas to meet March 24
MEXICO — The Red Hat Mommas of Western Maine will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday, March 24, at the United Methodist Church.
Spaghetti and meatballs will be served.
Cost is $10, to be paid by Monday, March 17, to Isabel.
Twenty-seven members met for their February meeting.
A fun-filled mystery dinner was served by the church ladies. One birthday was celebrated, jokes were read and a word game was played.
Two new members were welcomed.
Mexico High School Class of 1958
MEXICO — The Mexico High School Class of 1958 will meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 20, at Dick’s Restaurant.

Relay For Life kickoff supper
RUMFORD — The River Valley Relay For Life event is sending out an invitation to all of the area cancer survivors, their caregivers, families and all Relay team members.
The kick-off of the River Valley Relay For Life event will be held Thursday, March 20. It will be a spaghetti supper at the Eagles Hall. Serving will be at 5:30, with a program to follow.
Organizers will introduce the new staff partner, Lisa Dunham. Annie Beaulieu, from PALS (Patient Airlift Services) will be guest speaker.

MEXICO — The Stephens High School Class of 1961 will hold their March luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 21, at the Covered Wagon Restaurant.

Maine Maple Sunday pancake breakfast
PERU — The Friends of Peru Elementary School will host a Maine Maple Sunday pancake breakfast from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Sunday, March 23, at the school.
Breakfast includes all-you-can-eat pancakes with maple syrup, bacon or sausage and beverage.
Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children 8 and under.
The event will be held in conjunction with Thurston Family Farm, Peru.
Raffle tickets will be available for a hand-braided rug.
Proceeds will benefit the Peru Community Center.
