Pine Cone OES to install officers
AUBURN — A new slate of officers for Pine Cone Chapter 26, Order of the Eastern Star, will be installed at 7 p.m. Friday, March 28, at the Masonic Hall, 1021 Turner St.
Elsie Johnson will be installed as worthy matron and Brett Jervis, worthy patron.
Judith Tufts, past matron, will be installing matron, assisted by Bernald Tufts, worthy grand patron, as installing patrons.
Also installing will be Judith Wilkie, past grand matron, marshal; Betty Perkins, past matron, chaplain; Richard Farnsworth III, organist; Corley Anne Bryas, grand conductress, Star Point ceremony.
All Eastern Star members, Masons and friends are welcome.
Lyme Support Group on first Monday
LEWISTON — The Lyme Support Group with Dennis and Cheryl Farley will meet monthly on the first Monday of the month, at 6:30 p.m., at The Ark, 791 Lisbon St. The group formerly met on Wednesdays.

IHM Golden Age Club meeting
AUBURN — The next monthly meeting of the IHM Golden Age Club will be Tuesday, April 8, at Sacred Heart Church.
Chicken parmesan will be served. The cost is $5.
Social hour with cribbage, backgammon and other games will be available from 11 a.m. to noon.

Author James Hayman at Ricker
POLAND — Bestselling Maine author James Hayman will be at the A.B. Ricker Memorial Library at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 6.
He will be reading from “Darkness First,” his lastest critically acclaimed suspense thriller, which is set in Downeast Maine.
Lakeside OES to meet April 8
WALES — Lakeside Chapter No. 60, OES will gather at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, at the Masonic Hall on 622 Centre Road for a stated meeting. Ladies will be in colored gowns.
The meeting will honor the stations of secretary and treasurer. The grand secretary, Rheanne Frost, and grand treasurer, Rebecca Bibber, PGM, of the Maine Grand Chapter have accepted the invitation to attend. Light refreshments will be served after the meeting.
A rehearsal for the 115th Installation of Lakeside Chapter will be held at the hall at 6 p.m. Sunday, April 6. All officers are encouraged to attend.
Girl Scout info night in Lisbon
LISBON — Girl Scouts of Maine will host a parent information and registration meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, April 7, at the Lisbon Community School.
Girls and adults are invited to attend to find out about the many different and fun ways today’s girls are participating in Girl Scouting and how the programs and activities inspire them to reach their personal best. Participants will also learn about the flexible options and benefits of becoming a Girl Scout volunteer.
