The Circus is coming! SAVE THE DATE – April 26: Circus Olé! And Feast of Fools

SOUTH PARIS – The Circus is coming! Trapeze artists, contact jugglers, hoop dancers, Vaudeville dance and clowning, giant puppets, stilt walkers and many other performers are coming from as far as Boston, Seattle, and Vermont for the third annual Circus Olé and Feast of Fools. For one night only, from 7 to 9 p.m., the Community Forum at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School will come alive with elephants, penguins, tigers, lions a giant dragon and the zany acts of a live circus produced by Rijah Newell.

This animal-free extravaganza showcases amazing performers while raising awareness about the mistreatment of circus animals. All “live” animals are giant theatrical puppets created by Trash Into Art — a community collective founded by Newell that uses street theater to illuminate social and environmental issues.

Tickets are available in advance for $10 for adults, and $5 for children 12 and under, at www.circus-ole.com Tickets will be on sale at the Maine Bookhouse on Main Street in Oxford and at the door. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. on the night of the show. For more information, visit www.circus-ole.com, email [email protected] or call 207-890-0545.
