AUBURN — The Trinity Jubilee Center’s 10th annual Empty Bowls Supper will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, at the First Universalist Church, 169 Pleasant St.
Potters from around the state have donated hundreds of bowls, plates, and mugs and more than a dozen local restaurants have donated food. Attendees are invited to purchase a piece of pottery, eat dinner, and enjoy music by the Great Falls Community Folk Orchestra.
The Jubilee Center is a community center in downtown Lewiston, open seven days a week. Proceeds from the Empty Bowls Supper benefit the center’s programs, including a soup kitchen, food pantry, resource center, refugee assistance program, and day shelter.
This year’s potters include: The Potter’s House, Edgecomb Potters, Carrie White, Mudroom Pottery Studio, Pottery by Celia, Georgetown Pottery, Saltbox Pottery, and students at Maine College of Art, Bates College, Gould Academy, and St. Dominic Academy.
Admission is free and dinner is free with the purchase of pottery.
