LEWISTON — Lewiston School Department is holding informational meetings and registration for the 2014-15 pre-kindergarten program.
The child must have been born between Oct. 16, 2009, and Oct. 15, 2010. An official birth certificate is required. If the child was not born in the U.S., parents will need to bring an I-94 or green card.
Also required are immunization records and proof of residency, such as a driver’s license with school appropriate address, lease or rent agreement, utility bills or mortgage agreement.
It is not necessary to bring the child to registration.
Longley informational meetings and registration will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, May 9, at Longley.
Martel and McMahon informational meetings will take place at McMahon School from 6 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, with registration between 6:30 and 7:30.
Farwell and Montello informational meetings will be held at Montello School from 6 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, with registration between 6:30 and 7:30.
Geiger informational meetings will be held at the school from 6 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, with registration from 6:30 to 7:30.
Additional registration times for all schools will be at the Superintendent’s Office, 36 Oak St., on any business day between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., as well as from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Thursday, May 22, and from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, May 23.
If a lottery is needed, it will be based on all students enrolled on June 2 and it will be held on June 5 at 8 a.m. at the Lewiston Public Schools office, 36 Oak St. Last year all students who registered by June 1 got a space in Pre-K.
