NORTHFIELD, Vt. — James Cejka graduated summa cum laude and MCV from Norwich University. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant and took the oath of office from his dad, Ret. Col. Robert Cejka Jr., his first salute given by his grandfather, retired Navy Chief Robert Cejka, and his bars pinned by his mom, Lisa, and sister, Lindsay.

He received the Army Cadet Distinguished Military Graduate Award, which represents the top 20 percent of cadets across the nation.
