POLAND – Robert and Louise Cloutier of Poland are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Carrie Cloutier of Poland, to Kevin Rice of San Diego, Calif., son of William and Betty Rice of Elkhart, Ind.

Miss Cloutier is a 1995 graduate of Edward Little High School and a 1999 graduate of Ithaca College with a bachelor’s degree in biology and a minor in Spanish. She has been employed by Maine Biotechnology Services as a sales director for eight years.

Lt. Commander Rice is a 1994 graduate of Concord Community High School and a 1998 graduate of Purdue University with a bachelor’s degree in aviation technology. He has served 10 years in the U.S. Navy as a P-3 Orion pilot and is currently serving aboard the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan.

The couple is planning a Jan. 3 wedding at the State Street Church in Portland.
