RUMFORD — Townspeople will vote on three land-use issues at a special town meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 24, at the Rumford Falls Auditorium.
Among the articles to be voted on are:
* To see if the town will authorize the municipal officers to issue and execute a release deed to Mark S. Davis for a parcel of land 60 by 100 feet along Oak Street and abutting property owned by Davis at 619 Maple St. in Rumford.
* To see if the town will authorize the municipal officers to accept a donation from Deutsche Bank National Trust Company of a 0.18-acre parcel and a building at 239 Penobscot St. and a donation from Wells Fargo of $27,500 to use toward demolishing the building at 239 Penobscot St.
* To see if the town will authorize the municipal officers to accept a donation from the US Bank National Association for a 0.09-acre parcel and a building at 127 Washington St., and accept a donation from Wells Fargo of $19,000 to use toward demolishing the building at 127 Washington St.
