Association to meet in cemetery
TURNER — The North Turner Cemetery Association will hold its summer meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, at the cemetery to discuss grave maintenance and tree work and hear reports.

HS planning music fest fundraiser
POLAND — The Poland Historical Society will meet at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at the Old Schoolhouse, Poland Corner.
All members are invited to attend to help plan the Sept. 20 first Schellinger Music Fest featuring Just4Folks, custom grass, and other guest musicians.
A business meeting will be held prior to the fundraiser planning session. Coffee will be served. For more information, call 998-4391.
Pairs qualifying round results
LEWISTON — The Lewiston Bridge Club winners of the North American Pairs qualifying round at the Lewiston Armory on July 21 were as follows:
First, Marta Clements and Nancy Farmer; second, Rosemarie Goodwin and Les Buzzell; third, Richard Balian and Luke Merry; fourth, Cynthia and Bill Clifford.
Winners of the regular club game on July 22 were: first, Patricia Quinn and Richard Balian; second, Bailey Geeslin and Nick Karamessinis; third, Jan and Vern Arey; fourth, Paul Sherman and Mike True; fifth, Tom and Rosemarie Goodwin.
First in B, Bailey Geeslin and Nick Karamessinis; second/third tie, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe with Marta Clements and Nancy Farmer; first in C, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe; second, Cindy and Bob Kirchherr.
