COZUMEL, Mexico – The wedding of Meredith Lee Townsend and Jason Cohen was held at noon, Jan. 27, at Cozumel, Mexico.
Mrs. Cohen is the daughter of Richard Lee Townsend and Kay Anne Townsend of Greene. Mr. Cohen is the son of Dr. Jose Cohen and Liliana Cohen of Harlingen, Texas.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white silk gown and carried a bouquet of white lilies and roses.
Laura Lemarie was honor attendant for her friend. Bridesmaids were Robin and Bronwyn Townsend, sisters of the bride, Jennifer Townsend, cousin of the bride, Eliette Cohen, sister of the bridegroom, and Maritza Cohen, sister-in-law of the bridegroom.
A brother of the bridegroom, Jonathan Cohen, performed the duties of best man. Groomsmen were Abel Castaneda III, Miguel Agrasanchez, Mariano Trivelli, Jason Berkowitz and Rickyray Sharp, friends.
A reception followed at the Presidente Intercontinentale Hotel in Cozumel, after which the couple traveled to Nassau in the Bahamas. They are residing in Pittsburgh, Pa.
The bride received a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in marketing, both from the University of Pittsburgh. She is leasing director for Trends Capital in Pittsburgh.
The bridegroom received a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Texas in Austin. He is CEO and founder of Trends Capital in Pittsburgh.
