NORWAY — Four local residents were sent to a hospital after two vehicles collided at Country Club Road and Route 117 on Monday night.
According to a police report, Jennifer Grover, 40, was driving a 1994 Oldsmobile minivan along Country Club Road around 5:20 p.m. She attempted to cross the intersection onto Old Stage Road and her van struck a northbound 1994 Saab driven by Everett Hussey.
Police said a large trailer parked beside the road partially blocked Grover’s view of traffic.
Hussey, Grover and Grover’s two passengers, ages 15 and 17, were wearing seat belts, according to police. All four were transported to Stephens Memorial Hospital for evaluation and later released.
Norway fire Chief Dennis Yates said Hussey suffered a cracked sternum. Details of the others’ injuries were not known.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
Neither speed nor drugs and alcohol were factors in the crash, police Chief Robert Federico said.
Emergency crews from Oxford responded to help direct traffic.
