AUBURN – The wedding of Katie Melissa Libby and Joshua Ryan Charest was held at 2 p.m. on Oct. 7 at Grace Lutheran Church in Auburn. Pastor Marian Marks officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Charest is the daughter of Richard Libby Jr. and Heidi Libby of Greene. Mr. Charest is the son of Gary Charest and Diane Charest of Greene.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white halter gown in A-line style with beading on the bodice and train. She carried a bouquet of white Calla lilies, purple roses and purple freesia, hand-tied with white ribbon.
Amy Latham served as honor attendant for her friend, and bridesmaids were Danielle Libby, sister-in-law, and Amanda Gallop, cousin.
A cousin of the bridegroom, Shane Morin, performed the duties of best man, and Dan Pierce, friend, was usher.
A reception followed at the Elks Lodge in Lewiston, after which the couple traveled to North Conway, N.H. They are residing in Greene.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of Leavitt Area High School and a graduate of Central Maine Technical College with an associate degree in early childhood education. She is employed at the Margaret Murphy Center for Children.
The bridegroom is a 2002 graduate of Leavitt Area High School and is assistant manager at E.B. Games.
