YARMOUTH — Maine Boys to Men has announced Matt Theodores as its new executive director. Theodores brings leadership and nonprofit experience to Maine Boys to Men from a variety of business executive, nonprofit board, volunteer and consulting positions.

Most recently, he served as board member and programming chairman for Maine Boys to Men, bereavement group facilitator for The Center for Grieving Children and consulting partner at Practical Decisions. He will begin his new position on Monday, Sept. 1.

Theodores will oversee a nonprofit organization that provides assistance and educational resources to boys and those who help raise them. Maine Boys to Men programming confronts traditional gender stereotypes and increases community awareness about the challenges facing boys and the corresponding bias and violence against girls and women.

Theodores holds a degree from University of Massachusetts Isenberg School of Business and completed a custom program for leaders at Harvard Business School.

He will replace outgoing Executive Director Drew Wing. To learn more about Maine Boys to Men, visit www.maineboystomen.org.
