Book sale at Ditzler Library

NEW SHARON — A book sale will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, at the Jim Ditzler Memorial Library, 37 Library Road.

Books will include fiction, nonfiction, mystery, romance, novels and children’s books.

Cost is by donation.

Scholarship Golf Classic is Sept. 12

FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Chamber of Commerce is once again teaming up with Seth Wescott to host the 12th annual Scholarship Golf Classic on Friday, Sept. 12, at Sugarloaf Golf Club.

Proceeds are used to help fund the Annual Franklin County Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Program and the Level Field Fund for area students and athletes.

Registration is open and donations and sponsorships are being accepted.

Free community luncheon

FARMINGTON — A free community luncheon will take place from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at Old South First Congregational Church, 227 Main St.

The menu consists of roast pork, rice pilaf, vegetable and cake.

Mind Body Spirit Festival

FARMINGTON — A Mind Body Spirit Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at the University of Maine Student Center, 111 South St.

There will be workshops, spiritual table tipping, gallery reading and more.

The gallery reading with Laurie Xanthos will be from 4 to 5 p.m.

Admission fee is $5.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Good Food Shepherd Food Bank.
