Outdoors Club: Fore River Sanctuary Nature Walk: On Sept. 10, explore this unique 85-acre preserve that features Portland’s only natural waterfall, Jewell Falls, as well as small mammals and songbirds.

Discovery Days Series: Armchair Explorer – Maine’s Island Trails: On Sept. 17, the Maine Island Trails Association will enable participants to discover the many natural wonders and scenic beauty of Maine’s coastal islands through their compelling PowerPoint slide show.

The program encourages these individuals to “get out, get active and get connected” by engaging in quality, compelling and fun activities.

The focus of the program is to make the most of the time available to those living with dementia.
