DIXFIELD – The wedding of April Lynn Pingree and Jeffrey Daniel Smith was held at 3 p.m. on Nov. 18 at the Dixfield Congregational Church. Pastor John Gensel officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Smith is the daughter of Tammy Pingree of Mexico. Mr. Smith is the son of Denny Smith of Peru and the late Rhonda Smith.

The bride, given in marriage by Roland Barker, her grandfather, wore a gown of white satin with long Cathedral train and she carried a bouquet of white roses with lilac and baby blue beads on smaller flowers mixed in.

Heather Bradeen and Tampsa Gallant, friends of the bride, were honor attendants, and bridesmaids were Kristia Webber and Jaime Brann, friends, and Susan Jamison and Ashley Pingree, cousins. Caley Child, friend, was flower girl.

Billy Smith performed the duties of best man for his brother, and ushers were Matt Libby and Eric Zitoli, friends, Nathaniel Skillin, cousin, and Denny Smith, father.

A reception followed at the Eagles Hall in Rumford. The couple is residing in Mexico.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of Dirigo High School and is employed at Food Trend in Rumford.

The bridegroom attended Dirigo High School and is employed at Lucas Tree Experts.
