Can someone tell me what is the difference between a campaign contribution and a bribe? I can’t see any.

Why is a political contribution tax exempt but the receipt of that contribution is not? Doesn’t work that way with lottery tickets and alimony.

Why shouldn’t money flowing into this state for politicians and special interests be taxed just like a sales tax? After all, they are here buying something, aren’t they?

While most Mainers are scrimping to pay their taxes, put food on the table and oil in the tank, millions and millions of those expendable political dollars are being funneled through the state and could, better yet, should be taxed. Why not?
