AUBURN — The annual Relay For Life of Androscoggin County is going to change it up this year, ending the fundraising event at midnight instead of dawn. Also new this year is that the kickoff and survivor celebration will be held in January.

The Relay event will be held June 5 at the Edward Little High School track. Teams can start setting up at 4 p.m. and the opening ceremony and survivor lap will be held at 6 p.m.

The theme for this year is “Under the Sea.”

Money raised will be used to support cancer patients and survivors through programs such as Road to Recovery; Look Good, Feel Better; and the 24-hour hotline, 1-800-227-2345. A portion of the money also funds cancer research.

Registration is open to join the event leadership team, and also for team registration so participants can begin fundraising.
