RANGELEY — Memorial services for Paul F. Meservey were held Saturday afternoon, Nov. 15, at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Rangeley, preceded by Masonic services conducted by Kemankeag Lodge No. 213.

The processional hymn was “I, the Lord of Sea and Sky,” followed by the acclamation of faith and prayers for Paul and his family and friends. The first reading was Psalm 84, read by Christopher Brink, followed by the reading of Psalm 23. The second reading was First Thessalonians 4: 13-18 by Pam Ellis, with the gradual hymn of “How Great Thou Art.” Richard Brink read the gospel, John 14:1-6, and the Rev. Jud Pealer offered the sermon and the prayers of people. The offertory hymn was “Country Roads” led by Joe Montimurro on the guitar. The communion hymn was “In the Garden,” and Mike Meservey and Linda Brink offered remembrances of Paul.

Following the commendation and the blessing, the recessional hymn was “Amazing Grace.” Following services, a reception was held in the undercroft hosted by the Episcopal Church Women. Interment will be in the spring at Evergreen Cemetery in Rangeley.

Terry Martin performed as the pianist and organist and Ben Wetherill assisted the Rev. Pealer, with Barry Libby assisting as the server. Bon Underwood, piper major emeritas of the Kora Highlanders, played the bagpipes at the conclusion of the services.

Cremation and memorial services were cared for and provided by Wiles Remembrance Center of Farmington.
