Award-winning singer/songwriter Sammie Haynes will perform for children ages 3 to 9 and their families Saturday, March 21, at the Auburn Public Library. Her clever and thought-provoking songs cover everything from dogs and rivers to the library and messy cars. The 2 p.m. performance is free. Haynes is on the roster of the Maine Arts Commission and the New England Foundation for the Arts, and is a member of the Children’s Music Network. Her latest CD, “Nature’s ABCs” on the Gentle Wind label, received four awards, including a Parent’s Choice award. For more information, call 333-6640, ext. 3.
