LEWISTON — The Young Professionals of the Lewiston-Auburn Area will be offering a free informational panel discussion with some of the area’s most experienced home-buying professionals.

The event will take place from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 21, in the conference room at the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce, 415 Lisbon St., Lewiston.

Topics for discussion will include where to begin, how to pick a lender and agent, different financing options, the closing process, the buyer’s responsibilities and what to watch out for. The panel will include Shane Wright, closing attorney at Norman Hanson & DeTroy; Jaimie Gutshall, branch manager, Auburn Savings Bank; and Chris Cormier, real estate agent, Maine Source Realty. The discussion will be moderated by attorney Will Hebert of Isaacson & Raymond.
