Summer’s final Patio Beach Party at Holly’s Own Deli in Auburn will feature Calypso Steve and the Chicks with Sticks Friday, Aug. 29, and guitarist Lindsey Montana Saturday, Aug. 30. Both nights, music will run from 6:30 to 10 p.m. with no cover and dinner and drink specials. Steve McManus plays classic drums while the Chicks with Sticks – Diane Mawhinney, Jan Additon and Jill Longstaff – play steel drums or pans, hand-hammered 55-gallon oil drums tuned to produce a full range of tones. Montana will play solo guitar and new original music from his forthcoming CD, “Wishing Well.” His original songs feature catchy melodies with powerful lyrics purposely open to multiple interpretations. Cover songs are likewise subject to stylistic variations, true to the improvisational, jam-band traditions familiar to fans of the numerous bands Montana has worked with. Among those bands are After Ten Band, Glenlivits, Lazy Lightning and Broken Men. Holly’s is at 84 Court St.
