1918 – 2015
LEWISTON — Palma Bourgoin, 96, formerly of 20 Great Falls Plaza, Auburn, died Sunday, Feb. 22, at d’Youville Pavilion in Lewiston.
Born in Lewiston on March 24, 1918, she was the daughter of Omer and Eva Charron Bourgoin. Educated in Auburn Schools, she was a graduate of Edward Little High School, Class of 1938.
She was employed as a laster in area shoe shops and also worked at the Arrow Heart Shirt Company, retiring in her 60s. She was a dedicated, lifelong Red Sox fan, and after her retirement, volunteered more than 22,000 hours at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
A member of the former St. Louis Church, Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, she was predeceased by her parents; a brother, Marcel Bourgoin; and a sister, Jeannette M. Perron.
