1944 – 2015

LEWISTON — William A. “Bill” Fournier, 70, of Auburn lost his courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, March 22.

He was born on Sept. 17, 1944, in Livermore Falls, the oldest son of Leo and Aurore (Pelletier) Fournier. He graduated from Wilton Academy in 1965 and served in the Army for seven years.

William began his career as a truck driver and worked for several trucking companies before retiring in 2009.

He is survived by his best friend and fiancée, Linda Bolduc of Auburn; his former wife, Linda Fournier; his daughter, Kathleen Gaeta and husband, Tom, of Cherry Hill, N.J.; a daughter, Karen Booth and husband, Glenn, of Mantua, N.J.; a sister, Barbara Stevens and husband, Lynn, of Newport, Vt.; and a sister, Jeanne Nichols and husband, Raynie, of Starks. He also leaves behind six grandchildren and three nieces.

Bill was predeceased by his father and mother; and two brothers, James Fournier and Kenneth Fournier.
