JAY — The Daughters of Isabella 677 from St. Rose of Lima in Jay held their April business meeting on Wednesday, April 8.

The recitation of the rosary was recited, and the meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. Draping of the Charter was held for deceased daughter Jeannette L. Labbe. Roll call of officers and minutes of the March business meeting were read. There were no applications for new membership.

Thank-you cards were received from Alex Boucher, Tri-Town Ministerial Association, Spruce Mountain Middle School. A thinking-of-you card was sent to Pauline Richards, and a thank-you card was sent to Dunkin Donuts.

Rita Crowley spoke about buying the carnations for Mothers Day.

Gina Labbe spoke about the Daughters Mass that will be held on Sunday, April 19. Participants of the Mass are asked to wear a red shirt and black pants.

The Memorial Day Parade was discussed last. The theme will be Gold Star Families. Those wishing to participate may contact Kim Couture. The meeting came to a close at 7:40 p.m.
