PORTLAND – Grammy Award winner Marc Cohn will perform at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, at the State Street Church.

It has been more than a decade since the singer/songwriter toured with a full band and nearly nine years since releasing his last studio recording. But he is doing both this fall. Cohn’s “Join the Parade” Tour set out Sept. 14 and his CD, “Join the Parade” was released in October.

The tour, which will play 30 concerts over a nearly 13-week run, will be Cohn’s first with a full band since 1993. The concerts will feature hits “Walking in Memphis,” “Silver Thunderbird” and “True Companion,” as well as songs from “Join The Parade.”

“Playing the older songs with a full band and now doing some of the newer tracks from ‘Join The Parade’ for fans is going to be a lot of fun,” Cohn said in a prepared statement.

Cohn won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 1992.

“Join The Parade” is the product of his personal journey through his empathic observations after Hurricane Katrina and of a 2005 carjacking in Denver that left him with a gunshot wound to the head.

Concert tickets, $35, are available online at MKTIX.COM/HEPTUNES; by calling 1-978-462-9630; and at all Bull Moose locations.
