WILTON — The boys’ tennis team from Spruce Mountain High School came close to sweeping MCI in their final home match of the season. However, a loss in overtime left the team with a 2-1 win.
Trevor Doiron, 3rd singles, won handily against Jingy Ding. His final score was 8-3.
2nd singles player Nick Billings faced a tougher opponent in his match. He was able to defeat Chris Xu 8-6.
1st singles player Nate Billings and Dean Liu battled to an 8-8 tie. Liu persevered in the tie-breaker to win the match 9-8.
