AUBURN – Imagine a warm tropical breeze, lively conversation under the cabana, and scrumptious Caribbean food. This type of tropical paradise will be created March 3 when the Sisters of Charity “Angel’s Caribbean Gala” takes place at the Hilton Garden Auburn Riverwatch.
Formerly the “Angel Ball,” this year’s gala has a new name, a new atmosphere and a new location. There will be a martini bar, hors d’oeuvres, an elegant dinner, and dancing to tunes by Plaid Daddy. Guests will also be able to bid on items, including works by featured artist Irene Duplissis, during live and silent auctions,
Proceeds will help construct a total joint orthopedic unit at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. The unit will provide clinical care, state-of-the-art technology, and innovative care delivery models to orthopedic patients from across Northern New England. The focus will be on providing the surgical services, education, rehab, and support patients need to meet their goal of pain-free movement.
The gala will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $100. RSVP by Feb. 21. For more information or to purchase tickets, call at 777-8863, or e-mail Mary Ellingwood at [email protected].
