Having graduated from St. Patrick’s Parochial School in the ’50s, I find it appalling and disturbing that the burial site of Monsignor Wallace will be turned into a disrespectful and disgusting entertainment venue (“Inn at the Agora Bed and Breakfast opens crypt for guests,” June 24).
What is equally disturbing is that the developer states that Monsignor Wallace would approve of such a venue. We were all taught to respect that site as one would any burial site.
Not only is he desecrating the burial site, but he is disrespecting all the parishioners and hard working families who supported the parish and all of its accomplishments.
He bought the property for a bargain saying he wanted to develop it into a cultural center similar to the Franco-American Center. Hopefully he will change his direction and find a different avenue to make his venture a profitable one.
