MBHS updates reunion location

FARMINGTON — The Mount Blue High School Class of 1975 will celebrate its 40th reunion at 5 p.m. Saturday, July 11, at the Homestead Kitchen, Bar and Bakery at 186 Broadway.

This is an open event – friends from all MBHS classes are welcome. Dinner and music will be provided.

Cost is $30 per person, and proceeds will benefit the MBHS Alumni Scholarship Fund. No advance reservation needed.

Sons of Italy to host lunch

RUMFORD — The Sons of Italy, Route 108, will have their annual chicken barbecue dinner at noon on Sunday, July 12.

It will include salad, desert and coffee. Take out is available.

Library to host ‘Double or Nothing!’

MEXICO — As part of the Mexico Public Library’s “Terrific Tuesdays” summer program for kids, the library will present “Double or Nothing!” by Steve Corning and Shane Miclon of South Paris at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 14.

The show will feature juggling, comedy and magic. Children and adults are invited to attend. This program will be held at the Calvin Lyons Hall, in the basement of the Mexico Town Hall building.

The program is free of charge, but donations will be accepted.

American Legion to host supper

GREENWOOD — American Legion Jackson-Silver Post 68 will host a supper and dance on Tuesday, July 14.

Hamburgers, hot dogs and dessert will be served. Music will be provided by Shadagee Ramblers. The cost for adults is $10 for the supper and dance, or $7 for the supper. The cost for children is $3. The doors open at 4 p.m.

Stephens High Class of ’49 to meet

BETHEL — Stephens High School Class of 1949 will meet for their regular monthly meeting at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, at the Roosters Roadhouse in Bethel.

Church donates to play musuem

WILTON — The Western Maine Play Museum has announced that the First Congregational Church of Wilton, as part of its mission outreach program, has donated $10,000 to the museum. This gift will provide the church with naming rights to the quiet room, a private area for feeding infants that can be used by families with children who need a quiet place to collect themselves.

KINGFIELD — The Ski Museum of Maine has announced the election of officers to its board of directors.

Senior citizens to hold lunch

PERU — The Rumford Senior citizens will be having a Hawaiian-themed luncheon at noon on Monday, July 13.

The cost is $5 for members and $6 for non-members. There will be a prize awarded for best theme outfit for those who wish to dress up.

Royal Arch Convocation July 13

RUMFORD — Rumford Royal Arch Chapter No. 56 will hold its July Stated Convocation at the Rumford Masonic Hall in Rumford Point on Monday, July 13. Chapter will open at 7:30 p.m. This will be preceded by a 6:30 p.m. supper.

A 50 Year Veteran’s Medal is to be presented at this meeting.

All Royal Arch Masons are welcome to attend.

MEXICO — The Stephens High School Class of 1954 will meet for a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15, at Dick’s Restaurant.
