NORWAY — Penny York, RN-BC, of Western Maine Health, successfully completed the process to become a certified tobacco treatment specialist.
A certified specialist provides evidence-based interventions for tobacco dependence across a range of intensities. Certification in Maine is overseen by the American Lung Association of the Northeast.
Penny has been employed at Stephens Memorial Hospital for 15 years as a registered nurse specializing in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation services. She resides in Bethel with her daughter, Shelby.
