AUBURN — The West Auburn Congregational Church will celebrate the apple in all of its forms at the 2015 Apple Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at the West Auburn Church vestry house.

The event will include a luncheon, bake sale, craft table, raffle items and a craft area for children. The event is being held to benefit the Barbara Lawrence Spiritual Growth Fund, established to encourage women of the church to attend spiritual events.

The Apple Fair Luncheon will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the cost is $6 for adults, $3 children ages 5 to 12 and free for children younger than 5. The menu will feature chicken and apple salad sandwiches, apple sausage quiche, cheese quiche, vegetable quiche, applesauce, Waldorf salad and other apple dishes. Peanut butter and apple jelly sandwiches will also be served.

Bake sale items include apple pies and breads, brownies, cookies and cakes. Craft items made by church members and small treasures will be sold.
