FARMINGTON — Mt. Blue Regional School District Adult and Community Education is offering the following courses:

Facial acupressure workshop: 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 21, a hands-on session about self-care and relaxation with instruction on specific acupressure points and techniques to help with sinus congestion, eye strain, headaches, TMJ, enhancing skin tone and overall relaxation.

First-time home buyers: 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesdays; first session, Oct. 7, 14, 21, 28; second session, Nov. 4, 18, Dec. 2, 9, for those thinking about buying their first house. Meet with a local lender and a home inspector. Learn about all the steps involved in getting the keys to a first home.

Homemade pillowcases and table runner: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesdays, Oct. 14, 28. Sewing machine required for this class. Learn the basics of sewing, pattern layout, cutting and sewing simple seams. First class participants will make pillowcases; second class, table runners. Call the office for a list of supplies needed to bring to the first class.

Basic and intermediate chain saw training: Basic chain saw training starts Oct. 7 on Wednesdays for three weeks and then intermediate training, a one full-day session Sunday, Nov 8. Call for detailed information.
