LEWISTON — The joy, kindness, and love behind Santa Claus will be examined at Lifetree Café at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21.
The program, titled “The Spirit of Santa: The Legend, the Love, the Lowdown,” features a filmed interview with Mark and Teresa McGraw, a couple who professionally play the roles of Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus.
During the interview, the McGraws explain that they don the costumes and personalities as a way to bring joy to those around them, particularly kids.
“We both just love children so much,” says Teresa. “We reach out to them because we know that not all children out there are loved. Not all of them get gifts or have homes. If we can just be a sparkle in their Christmas, that’s great.”
Admission to the hourlong event is free. Lifetree Café is located at South Lewiston Baptist Church, 1919 Lisbon Road.
Lifetree Café is a place where people gather for conversation about life and faith in a casual, comfortable setting.
