FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Children’s Task Force will hold its annual Children’s Festival from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at the University of Maine at Farmington Student Center.

The festival is an opportunity for families to escape the winter blues and get out for a day of free activities. There will be a low-cost food court with pizza, ice cream, popcorn and water or juice.

There will be activities in the hands-on room, such as face-painting, games and crafts. The cookie-decorating event will be back for the little ones as well as the Nintendo Wii. The Gross Motor Room will have mats for tumbling and other activities.

There will be music and entertainment in the North Dining Hall throughout the day. In addition, CHIPS will conduct a brief video and fingerprints session for child identification.
