MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Christiane Colette Sarribouette Pelchat, 86, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Friday, Feb. 5, at Serenity House in Mooresville.

She was born on May 29, 1929, in Bordeaux, France, to the late René and Marie Madeleine Decis Sarribouette. She was a homemaker.

Christiane is survived by her husband of 63 years, Real D. Pelchat; children, Claudette Walters and husband, Jeff, of Mooresville, Martine Slice and husband, Johnny Jr., of Columbia, S.C., and Sharon Ray and husband, Scott; sisters, Jacqueline Martin, and Giselle Faure; brothers, Claude Sarribouette, and Marc Sarribouette; grandchildren, Nathaniel Walters, Ian Walters, Johnny Slice III, Joseph Slice, and Joshua Slice; and three great-grandchildren.
