1944 – 2016
AUBURN — Charles E. True Sr., 71, of Moose Hill Road, Fayette, died on Friday, March 11, at the Hospice House.
He was born in East Winthrop on Dec. 26, 1944, the son of George A. and Annette “Nettie” (Gray) True.
Charlie was educated in Wayne and Livermore Falls schools. He had worked at Clark Sawmill in Kents Hill, Carleton Woolen Mill in Winthrop, was a mechanic and truck driver for Bridgeport Hydraulic in Connecticut and later drove for Isaacsons in Livermore Falls for several years until his retirement.

The family would like say a special thank-you to Becky Mercier for her kindness, care and compassion, as well as to the staff at Central Maine Medical Center and the Hospice House in Auburn.
He is survived by two brothers, John True of Livermore Falls and Paul True and his wife, Kathleen, of Fayette; a sister, Margaret Bryant and her husband, James of Wayne; three grandchildren; also great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by a son, Charles True Jr.; a daughter, Anita True; a sister, Barbara Wyman and her husband, Frank; and three brothers, George, Howard and David True.
