FARMINGTON — A memorial gathering of family and friends of George R. Farnum, of East Wilton was held Thursday, March 10, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Wiles Remembrance Center, 137 Farmington Falls Road, Farmington, with Words of Remembrance at 7 p.m. The Rev. Tim Walmer, Chaplain at Franklin Memorial Hospital opened with a prayer followed by a personal tribute of George and his life, led by family friend, Brent Smith. The Rev. Walmer closed with prayer. Members of Wilton Fire and Rescue honored George’s memory with a contingent of fire fighters and two fire trucks for the gathering. Interment will be in the spring at Lakeview Cemetery in Wilton. A video memorial is available to be seen on George’s memorial wall at wilesrc.com. Cremation and memorial gathering services were cared for and provided by the Wiles Remembrance Center.
