AUGUSTA – Kid Rock will take the stage at the Augusta Civic Center Thursday, Aug. 5. Tickets go on sale at 8 a.m. Friday, July 9.

The performer has earned a reputation as one of hardest working acts in rock ‘n’ roll for his countless cross-country tours, as well as treks around the globe.

Kid Rock grew up in Romeo, Mich., a small rural town north of the Detroit metropolitan area. He immersed himself in rap music, learned to break dance and began making the talent-show rounds in Detroit. His debut album was “Grits Sandwiches for Breakfast.”

Since his multi-platinum album, “Devil Without a Cause,” Rock has been the recipient of many honors, including multiple Grammy Award nominations. His trophies include a Billboard Music Video Award and Favorite Male Pop/Rock honors from the American Music Awards.
