AUBURN — Law enforcement agencies in Androscoggin County will hold a drug take-back day on Saturday, April 30, as part of the national Drug Take Back Program.
Expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs can be taken to a drop-off site for disposal between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The service is free and anonymous.
Collection sites in Androscoggin County include:
• Bedard Pharmacy, 359 Minot Ave., Auburn
• Farwell Elementary School, 100 Farwell St., Lewiston.
• Lisbon Police Department, 300 Lisbon St.
• Livermore Falls Police Department, 2 Main St.
• Mechanic Falls Police Department, 108 Lewiston St.
• Poland Town Office complex lot, 1231 Maine St.
• Sabattus Police Department, 190 Middle Road.
• Turner Fire Rescue Station, 19 General Turner Hill Road.

Those unable to drop off medication on April 30 may do so year-round at the following collection sites: Auburn, Lisbon, Livermore Falls, Mechanic Falls and Sabattus police departments; Turner Fire Rescue; Poland Town Office; and the Greene Village Pharmcy, 19B Patten Road, Greene.
