1951 – 2016
AUBURN — Sidney R. Grover, 65, died Monday, May 9, at Clover Manor after a brief illness.
He was born April 5, 1951, the son of Earl and Betsey Grover. Sid grew up in Otisfield and later in life, attended Landmark, Inc. and the Social Learning Center, a day program for special needs. He enjoyed going on trips, playing basketball and bowling. He attended church and also for several years participated in Special Olympics, winter and summer events. He was very proud of all his medals and trophies. The past 11 years of his life he resided at a group home (ASI) on MacSullivan Street in Lewiston.
He leaves a brother and his wife, Lloyd and Alana Grover; his sisters, Donna Bean and her husband, Richard, of Otisfield and Sylvia of South Paris; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, John, Kerry and Earl; his sisters, Tena and Carol; his niece, Lisa Bean Thurston; and two nephews, Peter Grover and Tim Gothing.
