BUCKFIELD – The Oddfellow Theater will kick off its seventh season with its popular monthly “Early Evening Show” with Mike Miclon Friday and Saturday, Sept. 3 and Sept. 4.

In 1998, “The Early Evening Show” was the second show on the Oddfellow Theater stage, and it’s been selling out ever since. Last year, a second show was added on Friday nights in order to keep up with ticket orders. Now the first Friday and Saturday of each month are filled with live variety theater in what the Bangor Daily News called “Buckfield’s biggest living room.”

In the show, Miclon hosts a frenzy of comics, musicians, jugglers and surprise guests. This is a live version of a late-night talk show, complete with co-host Amanda Huotari, The Early Evening Show Orchestra and a live studio audience.

With news updates, comedy sketches, live “commercials” and interviews, audiences never know who will show up. In the past six years, the show has featured more than 100 guests, including Cirque du Soleil performer Steve Ragatz, Pulitzer Prize winning poet Henry Taylor and local meteorologist Joe Coupo.

The show will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets: $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, $6 for children 12 and under. Tickets are available at Northeast Bank in Buckfield or call the box office, 336-3306, open Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Fridays from noon to 5 p.m.

The theater is on Route 117. For more information, visit www.oddfellow.com.
