The Mollyockett Chorus, billed as an “imaginative, talented, and often very funny” group of singers will perform at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, June 16, at the Brick Church for Performing Arts, 502 Christian Hill Road, Lovell. The title of the chorus’s new show, “The Women’s Book Club,” gives a hint of the chorus’s interest in parody. The group performs a combination of upbeat songs, ballads and popular show tunes in four-part a capella harmony, often called “barbershop” style. The performance will include “a little chit-chat, but mostly singing, along with some playful twisting of book titles,” according to chorus member Jan Ippolito. Tickets are available at the door: adults $10, children 12 and under $5.  FMI: go to www.lovellbrickchurch.org or call 207-925-1500.
