CARRABASSETT VALLEY — The Carrabassett Valley Public Library will kick off its Summer Reading Program Wednesday through Saturday, June 22 to 25.

During this time, those interested may sign up and get a reading log. The first 20 to sign up will receive a voucher for a Portland Sea Dogs game, a backpack, bookmark and stickers.

All participants receive a pass for the Sugar Bowl, which includes one free hour of bowling and shoes for four people. A large one-topping pizza and pitcher of soda are also included.

Mad Science!: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 13.

Author Nancy Prince: 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 27.

Farmer Minor and Daisy the pot-bellied pig: 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4.

Toddler/Preschool Program: 10:30 a.m. select Thursdays. Includes story time, crafts and a snack.

Summer hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
