LEWISTON — The third in a series of Women’s Night Out programs is set for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 7, at the Center for Wisdom’s Women, 97 Blake St.

The series explores integrative medicine through the senses. This particular workshop will address the physiology of vision and color. Participants will explore how color and vision affect the body, mind and emotions.

Margo Goodman, DO, will lead the program. She is a family medicine physician who has done some additional study in integrative medicine. She is currently completing an extra training year in osteopathic manipulative medicine. She received her undergraduate degree in philosophy from the University of Southern Maine and medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Joining her is Josie Conte, DO, an osteopathic family physician and faculty with Central Maine Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program. She specializes in integrative medicine and NMM/OMM. She has been a dancer and taught women’s dance classes in Portland since the early 1990s. Conte integrates aromatherapy and other alternative treatments in her work in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including breath and mind-body techniques.

All women are invited to come learn how vision and color can be used to promote wellness.

There is no charge to join, although donations will be accepted. Light snacks and beverages will be provided.
