1931 – 2016

SABATTUS — Rosamond L. Pinard, 85, of 710 Middle Road, Sabattus, died Wednesday, Aug. 3, at her home, surrounded by her family.

Born in Minot on May 19, 1931, she was the daughter of Ashley and Mildred Polley McDonald. She married Leo R. Pinard in 1951; he passed away April 6, 1991. A dedicated mother and homemaker, she went to work after her children were grown as a hand sewer at Lawrence Shoe. She later earned her GED, got certified as a nurses’ aide and worked at d’Youville Pavilion until her retirement in 1992.

Survivors include four sons, Gary and wife, Dee Dee, of Farmingdale, Leo and wife, Marion, Richard and wife, Shirley, and Paul, all of Sabattus; four daughters, Brenda Pinard of Lewiston, Bonnie and husband, Frank Cabral of Holly Hill, Fla., Debbie and husband, Roland Beaulieu, of Ormond Beach, Fla., and Rosalie Boyden of Durham; two stepsons, Raymond Pinard of Newcastle, N.H., and George Pinard of El Paso, Texas; a stepdaughter, Cecile, and husband, Roger Castonguay, of Lewiston; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Forrest McDonald; and a sister, Wilma Perkins.
