AUBURN — Janet St. Hilaire, 73, of Lewiston, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 20 at the Hospice House in Auburn with her friends and family by her side following a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Janet enjoyed spending time with her family — her children, grandkids, and great-grandkids. She worked in local shoe shops until she retired in 2005.

Surviving her are her brother, Paul Lauzier; daughter, Debra Patterson; son, Gary Boucher and wife, Jen; daughter, Penny Fulgham; her grandchildren, Jessica, Crystal, Shawnalyn, Tori, Nathen, Ryan, Darci, Ashli, Delan and Tahj; as well as many in-laws, nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren and a close family friend.

Janet was predeceased by her parents.

Janet’s family would like to extend a special “thank you” to Androscoggin Homecare. Thank you to those who cared for and helped my mom live at home as long as she could — especially Gretchen, Melissa and Jessica. Thank you to all the staff at the Hospice House in Auburn, for the work you do and for making my mom comfortable and cared for until her last day.
