AUBURN – Central Maine Community College President Scott Knapp announces the following staff appointments:

Derek Meader has joined the staff as evening reference librarian. He is a Portland native who recently earned his master’s degree in library science from Catholic University. He began his undergraduate studies at Northeastern University before transferring to USM where he was awarded a bachelor’s degree in sociology.

Crystal Cyr has joined the college as an admissions representative. She is a Waterville native who earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics last spring at Keene State College in New Hampshire. While at Keene State, she worked as an orientation coordinator and leader, a peer advisor and a resident assistant. Among her admissions duties, she will be responsible for recruiting efforts in the Kennebec County area.
