Bald Hill is Ben DeTroy on mandolin-fiddle, Chris Ricardi on guitar, Renée St. Jean on vocals-guitar, Hal Phillips on vocals-guitar and Todd Burrowes on bass. All hail from New Gloucester and as Ben would say, “Some of us live on Bald Hill; the others wish they did.” Bald Hill is not just where these pickers live, it is a state of mind. That state of mind might lead them to pull out a Jimi Hendricks or Led Zeppelin tune on occasion in addition to their first love, bluegrass.
