1938 – 2016

BUCKFIELD — Janet Pomerleau, 78, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 20, after a yearlong battle with cancer.

She was born Aug. 9, 1938, to Albert and Dorothy (Grant) Reid in Cohasset, Mass. Janet loved crocheting, hummingbirds, baking, chihuahuas, especially Tina who was by her side for 15 years, the ocean, cookouts and, most importantly, she loved her family.

She is survived by her four daughters, Debra Bennett and companion, Dave Stair, Linda Lengyel, Sheila and husband, Philip McAlister Jr., Jean and husband, Frank Lengyel; one son, David Pomerleau and companion, Kathleen Heino; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Curt G. Reid of Massachusetts; best friend, Barbara Quinn and her companion, Bob Thompson; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her mother and father; husband; brother, Albert G. Reid; and grandsons, Mark McAlister and Brian Lengyel.
